Omar Metwally portrays an Egyptian Vampire ‘Amun’


Before you watch Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 that is 20 days left before its airing date, be sure to know who’s who in the film to fully enjoy and be thrilled by this last part of the last sequel of the Twilight film series. Now, we are about to witness the ending of the our favorite human-vampire love story that we’ve been following since then, finally, Bella and Edward’s happily ending is just about to begin. Vampires and shape shifters will be gathered for this momentous finale of the phenomenal Twilight, vampire covens around the will be named.


One of the vampire covens that will be named in Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was the Egyptian Coven. One of the oldest vampire coven existed around 2500 BC situated in Egypt. The coven co-existed with the Romanian Coven. Like them, the most of the vampire members never posses supernatural gift, they acted like gods with human slaves, but unlike the Romanians, Egyptian coven don’t establish vampire guards that made them vulnerable for an attack. Egyptian coven was destroyed when Volturi rise to power. After the destruction of the Romanian coven, Egyptians were feared as it is rumored to be the next target of the Volturi.

Amun is an Egyptian vampire and is the leader of the featured Egyptian coven as you watch Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 online or in theaters nationwide. He’s one of the two survivors during the Volturi’s assault during the war between their covens. His instinct for survival kept him alive. He is the oldest know vampire in Twilight and is very obsessed to form a coven of supernatural gifted vampires. To start his ambition, he transformed Demetri which has the special ability to track other’s location. When the Volturi found this out, they take Demetri away from him with Chelsea’s ability to break the bond between persons. After the incidence, he snatched and transformed Benjamin that is gifted with the ability to control elements (earth, fire, water and air) and kept him hidden from Volturi’s knowledge.

The Egyptian coven will stand as witness for the Cullens in the upcoming film Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Amun is portrayed by Omar Metwally, an American actor born in Queens, New York to an Egyptian father and a Dutch mother who was raised in Orange County.
