American actor with an Egyptian
descent who is notable by his role in the television series The War at Home as Kenny, Merriell
“Snafu” Shelton on The Pacific and in
movie as Pharaoh Ahkmenrah in Night at
the Museum I & II, Rami Malek will be playing Benjamin in the phenomenal Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn –
Part 2 to be release this November 16, 2012. Rami was the first to join the
cast of the film as it was announced last August 31, 2010 that he’ll be given
the role of Egyptian vampire named Benjamin. Rami is an Egyptian descent that
made him more accurate and perfect choice for the role.
Benjamin was an orphan child who
grew up in the slums of Cairo and is on the care of his mother’s distant
relative, passing from one relative to another to support and feed him. He was
taught by his uncle how to sing, dance and perform to earn money in streets.
His uncle, after discovering his ability to manipulate fire, taught him to do
tricks. He becomes more productive being a fire dancer which drew the attention
of both mortal and immortal. When Amun, an Egyptian vampire who happened
collecting talented humans and transformed them to become gifted vampire snatched
him and kills his uncle. After transformation, he was held captive on Amun
hidden underground temple where he and Kebi bring food for him. Five years on
the same setting, Benjamin tries to convince Amun for an out and successfully
